The Nigerian federal government has been served with a notice of a 14-day nationwide strike by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC).
NLC and TUC Give Tinubu's Government a 14-Day Notice of a Nationwide Strike 2.
Their complaint, according to a Vanguard article, is that the 16point agreement that was reached on October 2, 2023, between organized labor (the TUC and NLC) and the federal government has not been implemented.
Leaders of the TUC and NLC express sadness that the Federal Government appears unfazed by widespread suffering and adversity in the nation, despite organized labor's attempts to maintain industrial peace.
