One of the individuals the Nigerian military had proclaimed wanted, Ikolo Clement, has turned himself in to the police.
One of the eight people the Nigerian Army Defence Headquarters has listed as sought in connection with the March 14 killing of 17 soldiers at Okuama Community is Clement, the recently proclaimed King of Ewu Kingdom in Ughelli South Local Government Area, Delta State.
The monarch was listed as sought together with Prof. Ekpekpo Arthur, the President-General of Ewu, and Reuben Baru, the young guy who just created a viral video explaining why they killed the troops.
Akevwru Daniel Omotegbono, popularly known as Amagbein, is another alleged militant leader who has been declared sought. A few days after the incident, soldiers tracked Amagbein to the Igbomoturu hamlet in Southern-Ijaw Local Government Area, Bayelsa State, but were unable to locate him.
The King gave a press conference and then gave himself up to the Police. He denied any involvement in the deaths during the press conference (see here).
