A middle-aged guy known only as AJ was discovered dead in his car at Mechanic Village in the Idimu neighborhood of Lagos State on Friday, sparking widespread fear.
PUNK Metro discovered that the deceased was present at the Good Friday service at a nearby church at the time of the occurrence.
According to reports, the late AJ, a church member, left the building during the ceremony to retrieve something from his parked car.
Speaking on the condition of anonymity, an eyewitness told our correspondent that a second member who saw him in the car a short while later struck up a conversation with him but received no reply.
It was reported that the inquisitive member moved close to him and discovered him in the car, motionless.
"He said he wanted to pick up something in the car, but no one really noticed he hadn't come back to join the service," the insider added.
When one of our members noticed him sitting there in his car, she approached him and said hello, but she later learned that he did not reply.
The individual claimed that he approached him and asked him in jest whether he was exhausted from fasting.
When he realized that he was still, that was the moment. He thus promptly informed other members, who hurriedly left the church to find out what was happening.
