Ayodeji Balogun, better known by his stage name Wizkid, is a Nigerian music sensation who has been making waves in the industry by subtly criticizing Don Jazzy and fellow musician Davido in a string of tweets.

Wizkid incites controversy by making fun of Don Jazzy and Davido on social media

When Wizkid replied to a fan on X (previously Twitter) who had brought up remarks made by musician Ladipo, uproar broke out.

"Imagine me, Wizkid, engaging with someone signed under a 'influencer' like Don Jazzy," Wizkid retorted sharply. Not at all!

His remarks sparked a heated internet discussion as supporters and onlookers analyzed their meanings.

There is a lot of conjecture that Wizkid made these comments as part of a PR campaign to promote a new album.

Funny suggestions were made by certain fans that Burna Boy should "Intervene and take control of Wizkid's phone" in order to prevent him from making any more divisive remarks.

Wizkid's interactions with his fans kept putting fuel on the fire.

He tweeted out loud, "Every day I get things to say but my mouth no good," revealing his daily concerns.

His witty response to a fan asking him to incorporate these ideas into new songs was, "Is it by force?" Another fan playfully demanded, "Yes na by force, biggest bird," after this.

Surprisingly, Wizkid made reference to a Davido video that went viral and encouraged his fans to beg him for new songs. "Pray to me in this manner. Send video," he wrote, underlining his point with the video. In addition to shocking followers, the message sparked rumors regarding Wizkid and Davido's romantic relationship.

Although Wizkid and Davido seemed to be getting along when Davido revealed Wizkid's next album in December 2023, their current conversation reveals a more nuanced and competitive relationship that some may view as innocent teasing.

During these conversations, Wizkid also voiced his affection for Prophet Odumeje, a Nigerian celebrity pastor and musician, adding another layer to his sequence of surprising social media contacts.
