Son of former Super Eagles player Tijani Babangida passes away, and wife is critically ill

Maryam Waziri, an actress from Kannywood and the spouse of Tijani Babangida, the President of the Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria (PFAN), is reportedly in serious condition following a horrific car accident that claimed the lives of her brother-in-law and one-year-old kid.

Ibrahim Babangida, Tijani Babangida's younger brother, passed away instantly in an automobile accident on Thursday along the Kaduna-Zaria expressway, as previously reported by LEADERSHIP.

In a recent development, nevertheless, it has been revealed that Maryam was in critical condition and that his almost 1-year-old son Fadil had passed away, disfiguring half of her face.

Their maid, who was also in the collision, additionally sustained fractures.

In a statement, PFAN General Secretary Emmanuel Babayaro revealed the tragic event, saying, "This is a difficult moment for our friend Tijjani and his entire family.

After the death of Ibrahim, his little son, who was battling for life in the hospital with him, also passed away yesterday (Friday)."
