NAF Anticipates 50 Aircraft to Combat Bandits

The Nigeria Air Force (NAF) has said that it will acquire a minimum of fifty new aircraft by the end of the current year in order to bolster the effort against banditry in the North-West and throughout Nigeria.

Air Marshal Bala Abubakar, the Chief of Air Staff, revealed the information in Katsina State while examining many significant projects that had been put into service at the state's 213 Forward Operational Base.

"This is particularly true as we witness the rapid acquisition of aircraft and the expansion of our order of battle within the service," he clarified. From now till next year, we anticipate at least fifty airplanes, ladies and gentlemen.

Twelve AH-1 attack helicopters, twenty-four M-346 assault planes, and twelve Augusta Westland 109 helicopters are among the pending acquisitions.

BREAKING: New Minimum Wage: Nigerian government begins paying civil staff. 26th September 2024.

Civil servants on the federal government payroll will start receiving the new minimum salary payment on Thursday, September 26th. Bawa Mokwa, spokesperson for the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation, confirmed this in an exclusive interview with DAILY POST on Thursday.
