Apostle Odola confronts Damina and refutes the radical cleric's allegation that he ordained Enenche.
The controversial cleric Pastor Abel Damina of Power City International recently claimed that he (Damina) ordained Dr. Paul Enenche, the senior pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, and gave him guidance for ministry. However, Apostle Paul Odola, the general overseer of Dominion Power Assembly International, has refuted this claim.
Additionally, Damina had stated that he had given Dr. Enenche and Apostle Odola their ministry ordinations on the same day.
In an interview with journalists, Apostle Odola addressed the topic for the first time and refuted Damina's assertions, highlighting Pastor Enenche's prior status as a well-respected gospel pastor prior to their brief encounter in 1995.
"I've had the honor of getting to know Dr.It was in 1988 when Abel Damina entered the picture, and it has been since 1994 that Dr. Paul Enenche entered the picture.
"Dr. Paul (Enenche) was already a man of God in his own right when he entered the picture. I have a specific handbill from 1995 that lists Dr. Paul as a guest speaker. There was a single clergyman named Dr. Friday Yanga in that handbill. Dr. Paul entered the scene already a fiery and dynamic gospel minister. He regularly went to the conferences Damina was organizing at the time.
"Dr. Paul attended the Jos Prayer Conference that was taking place at the time. Dr. Paul joined the ICMA movement as an associate minister once it transformed into a church As an associate minister, Dr. Paul was appointed. We didn't get to see him on Sundays because he occasionally traveled about preaching. He only came in for the service, if he was around.
In 1995, I got the chance to ask Dr. Paul to serve as our minister in Bauchi State. At that time, he was a self-contained man of God. He brought his mother-in-law, Deborah, and his wife, Dr. Becky, to that conference. By all accounts, he was a man of God in his own right, anointed, and fiery.
"When we had the chance to speak with Drs. Joshua Talena and Damina, it was evident that Dr. Paul was unique. He was so very different from the rest of us. He was distinct in his morals, way of living, and attitude to ministry. Dr. Paul also visited one of our 1996 conferences in Uyo. It was clear that Dr. Paul had his own ministry, way of life, and methodology. He was merely introduced as a colleague.
His approach to life and ministry was very different from ours, so we realized right away that he was going to have a global ministry.
Since we were all young men at the time, his extremely rigid and high way of life was distinct from our own. His current state does not surprise me.
"It is untrue if Dr. Abel Damina says that he ordained or taught Dr. Paul Enenche for ministry.
"When a man who at one point was in ministry associates with you and has his own ministry; this does not imply that you ordained him into the ministry. It's similar to claiming that Jesus was ordained into ministry by John the Baptist. We can see now that Dr. Paul Enenche had it and purposefully did so while he was here with us.
When asked how long Dr. Enenche had known Damina prior to starting his church, Odola replied, "Dr. Paul was already in ministry and only associated with us, so the interaction was quite brief." He left the company after realizing it was not the right fit for him.
Our youthful energy was evident on our part, and Dr. Paul had to fully disassociate himself upon sensing and realizing that himself away from us. That association and interaction ended there. I believe what he saw was a lack of morality and a childlike enthusiasm. He didn't hang around for very long when he first arrived, and the difference is evident now.
"To the best of my memory, Dr. Paul had already started the church in Abuja when Dr. Damina and I came for one of his conferences," Odola remarked in response to the assertion that Damina attended the opening ceremony of Dunamis Church in Abuja. I attended the conference. Prior to Dr. Abel Damina being invited to serve as a guest minister, the church had already begun.
In actuality, we were all taken aback by what the church had become in such a short period of time Obviously, the church had already started when we arrived, and since Dr. Abel had been invited to speak as a guest, I don't suppose it was the first meeting that we attended.
It would have been obvious to everyone present that Dr. Paul Enenche knew where he was going and what he wanted to accomplish. It was evident to those like Rev. Talena that Dr. Paul arrived knowing exactly where he was headed in terms of ministry.
We all knew he was going to depart when it came time for him to launch his own ministry.
"Dr. Paul had consistently demonstrated that he was aware of his goals and his desire to serve in the ministry.
"I want to be completely honest when I say this. I extended an invitation to him (Dr. Paul) to deliver a sermon at our Bauchi church in 1995, as I noticed that he stood out from the rest of us. When I answered the phone, he was the first person to ever come and preach.
"I took action because I could see his qualities and essence. What the Lord has done with him now does not surprise me. I just had the honor of touring the Glory Dome, and I would like to point out that people are only exposed to the Dome's exterior. They are unaware of the Glory Dome unless they attend and have the same experience that I had. Dr. Paul is a gift to our age as well as to our country.
"Therefore, Dr. Damina's remarks about Dr. Paul Enenche are wholly baseless."
Additionally, Damina had stated that he had given Dr. Enenche and Apostle Odola their ministry ordinations on the same day.

No man can claim what God has enabled him to do. There is no man who can say he inspired it. He is a gift to our generation that keeps inspiring us time and time again. I believe that everyone with common sense should give this man the respect he merits and take note of the things God is using him to accomplish.
"With all sincerity, Dr. Paul Enenche is one of the best voices in the church today," I must add. Whether we like it or not, the elder generations are phasing out, thus he is similar to the modern father of our faith.
"Among the fathers of faith that my generation of ministers currently knows is him." Let's discuss the lives he has impacted. Presidents and other prominent figures have joined him on his crusades in every nation he has visited. A man like him ought to receive the respect he merits.
