Police Arrest Tiktoker for Instigating Violence in a Protest

Suleiman Yakubu, 34, has been taken into custody by the Nigeria Police Force (NPF). He was featured in a widely shared Tiktok video in which he called for the damage of properties and the burning of gas stations as part of an upcoming hunger demonstration in Jos, Plateau State.

The suspect, who went by the username "Dan_Mallam68," had encouraged Jos citizens to attack gas stations, police officers, and important public and private infrastructure.

On Tuesday, Force PRO ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi issued a press release The suspect was taken into police custody on July 28 and is still being investigated and questioned.
