Asserting that President Bola Tinubu has written to the National Assembly to request their support for the new National Minimum Wage law, Olusegun provided the update. The National Minimum Wage Bill has been forwarded to the House of Representatives for consideration by President Bola Tinubu via letter.
Tuesday's House of Representatives plenary saw the reading of the President's letter to the parliamentarians outlining his request.
On the floor of the upper house, a letter akin to the one sent to the Senate was also read. The President approved a new minimum salary of ₦70,000 for Nigerian workers last week; this week, he wrote a letter to the National Assembly.
