President Bola Tinubu has received praise from Senator Bala Mohammed, the governor of Bauchi State, for including the Northeast and North Central geopolitical zones in his legacy projects. This includes the building of the Badagry – Sokoto and Akwanga – Bauchi – Gombe road projects.
On Thursday, Governor Mohammed bestowed the appreciation upon Senator David Umahi, the Minister of Work, who had been to the state to evaluate the breakaway Kano – Maiduguri Road at Bursali village, which is close to Azare town.
He conveyed assurance that the road restoration project spanning Akwanga, Bauchi, and Gombe would encompass Yola and Damaturu in the states of Adamawa and Yobe.
"Please give Mr. President our sincere respect and gratitude for the statesmanship and responsiveness he has demonstrated." in the Northeast and North Central regions in his legacy agenda," Governor Mohammed declared.
"You are doing so much," the Governor said, addressing the Minister. You would have helped Mr. President create records and legacies that would have outdone anyone by the time you left office.
I hope we won't be misinterpreted since, having served in the federal government and even as president, I am aware of the president's immense capabilities and greatly respect him. As subnationals, we would continue to offer you constructive criticism.
Mohammed gave an explanation of how the minister's visit would resolve the Shira, Azare, Jama'are, and Bulkachuwa cut-offs and guaranteed the state government's assistance and collaboration in order to ensure the minister's project success.
The federal government granted us permission to intervene on several of your roads, including the 17-kilometer dual carriageway that runs along Airport Road, University Road, and the former one that ran along Jos Road, he added. "We are doing our best to intervene in some of your roads," he said.
The governor emphasized that the amount of neglect and abandonment on our federal highways over the years is too great to be overcome in a short amount of time, but he stated that there is no distinction between state and federal roads because, in his opinion, they must complement one another.
President Tinubu inherited an economy, the Minister, Sen. Umahi, said previously.
