Mom of Former INEC Chair Jega Passes Away Hajiya Hauwa Kulu Muhammadu Jega

In Abuja, is the deceased mother of Professor Attahiru Jega, the former chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).


She had a brief illness and passed away in Abuja on Friday night.



Funeral prayers for the deceased will be held this Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the National Mosque in Abuja, according to a family source.



The funeral prayer would be followed by her burial at Gudu Cemetery in Abuja.



Numerous children and grandchildren survive Hajiya Hauwa, including well-known journalist and syndicated newspaper columnist Malam Mahmud Jega and former AMCON Executive Director Alhaji Abbas Jega.
