Breaking: Gospel singer Oluwatimileyin Ajayi was found guilty of killing corps member Salome Adaidu and sentenced to death by hanging.

Oluwatimileyin Ajayi was sentenced to death by hanging by the High Court in Lafia, Nasarawa State, for the murder of Salome Adaidu, a member of the National Youth Service Corps. Ajayi was found guilty by Justice Simon Aboki of k!lling and humiliating Adaidu. Near a church in Orozo, a border town between Nasarawa and Abuja, on Sunday, January 12, 2025, Oluwatimileyin, a gospel singer, fitness enthusiast, and content creator who inspires his followers on social media, was seen carrying a sac containing the severed head of Salome. He led authorities to the remaining, broken-up pieces of Salome's body after being arrested. He was taken into custody and accused of one count of culpable murder in violation of Northern Nigeria's Penal Code, Section 221.and subject to de@th punishment.

Timileyin Ajayi performed a religious act in court as the case got underway. He was captured on camera praying while seated during a court appearance. Justice Simon Aboki declared on Thursday, June 26, that the evidence proved Ajayi's guilt for the gruesome crime and that the prosecution had proven its case beyond a reasonable doubt. Ajayi was then given a hanging death sentence.

Boat explodes in Bayelsa, confirming the deaths of 20 passengers.
